"Our featured film this week is Rough Patch by London-based filmmaker, Tim Orchard. Rough Patch is a suspenseful dark comedy with hints of fantasy and science fiction. Though, if we have to pick one word to describe it, that word would be "bizarre," bizarre in an awesome David Lynch meets Tim Burton kind of way. The film tells the story of a family discovering that their neighbours are evil replicas of themselves. Rough Patch is our holiday pick and is very highly recommended."

Largely composed of interviews with independent filmmakers as well as industry figures, it plays out as a love letter to non-mainstream writers and directors who manage to produce films without council funding and occasionally with no money at all."
